This beautiful family lost one of their identical twin girls at birth. Little Camila & her wonderful parents will always feel a void in their hearts, an aching that will never subside over the loss of Camila’s identical twin, Zoe Aurelia.
There is no greater joy than the birth of a child and no greater sorrow than the loss of a child. Parents forced to experience both simultaneously may be one of life’s greatest injustices. Zoe is now at peace and her memory will live on. She will be loved now and forever.
We created the yellow-themed portrait to capture beautiful Camila’s and Zoe’s connection. Zoe is represented by the butterfly, a creature so very beautiful but whose life is so very fleeting. The hand-painted dandelions remind us that life is delicate and beyond our control. The color yellow radiates bravery & strength, a color that demands to be seen.
“What I need is the dandelion in the spring. The promise that life can go on, no matter our losses. That it can be good again.”
-Suzanne Collins
